Mission 01Ecosystem

A Solar System Internet for humanity

From interplanetary networking research to a global connectivity ecosystem.

Future communications between Earth, the Moon and deep space require an architecture fundamentally different from today's Internet.

The challenge was not simply technological. It was institutional, industrial and geopolitical: creating use cases, building awareness, aligning international actors, developing standards and moving the technology from research environments towards real deployment.

Key actions

  • Connected space agencies, industry and the scientific community.
  • Helped translate DTN/IPN technologies from research environments towards industrial roadmaps and terrestrial pilots.
  • Built international consensus around standards, use cases and deployment.
  • Coordinated international positioning and ecosystem-building activity.

Entrepreneurship & innovation agenda

Spain's entrepreneurial ecosystem was fragmented, without a shared national vision or a modern regulatory framework.

María helped build alignment across founders, investors, industry, regions and political actors, translating ecosystem needs into a common national agenda, building up from the regions, in a team display of unprecedented success (2015 - 2018).

Key result

Contribution to Spain's Startup Law and the national entrepreneurship and innovation agenda, including approximately €4B in the government's economic strategy.
